Watermarking
Watermarking adds a visible mark to gallery images when a gallery is published. Watermarks are configured in the gallery editor under Access.
Watermarking is useful for proofing and preview galleries, especially when clients need to review images before receiving full-resolution files.
Watermark types
Folio supports two watermark types:
| Type | Description |
|---|---|
| Image watermark | Upload an image to use as the watermark |
| Text watermark | Create a text watermark directly in Folio |
Watermark settings
Watermarks can be adjusted before publishing.
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Position | Where the watermark appears on the image |
| Opacity | How transparent the watermark is |
| Size | How large the watermark appears |
Publishing behavior
Watermarks are applied when a gallery is published. If you change watermark settings after a gallery has already been published, publish the gallery again from the Share panel so the public gallery reflects the change.
Watermarking is configured per gallery. Review the desktop and mobile preview tabs before publishing when watermark placement is important.
Watermarking can be used with maximum resolution limits from the Access tab. Together, these settings let visitors view the gallery while limiting access to full-resolution images until final delivery.
